They developed web applications using the Silverlight/C# platform and wrote .NET/JavaScript scripts for web interfaces. In August 2011, they joined the Computational Neuroscience Lab as an Embedded System Development Assistant Engineer. In this role, they designed a Bluetooth device for transmitting brain signals to a mobile application, analyzing and designing analog/digital signal circuits, and programming MSP430 MCU using IAR IDE for hosting the Bluetooth module. From February 2012 to May 2020, Xinyu worked at Marvell Semiconductor as a Senior Staff Design Engineer in the high-speed PHY design team. They led the digital development of multiple IPs and worked with various teams to define, implement, and verify PHY circuit design. In May 2020, Xinyu joined Amazon as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer for Project Kuiper, focusing on SoC/ASIC design. Finally, Xinyu currently holds the position of Principal ASIC Design Engineer at Black Sesame Technologies Inc, starting in June 2022. They contribute to ASIC design for autonomous vehicles, specifically working on deep learning ASIC architecture, computer vision algorithms, and more.
Xinyu Yi completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Information Science and Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 2006 to 2010. Then, from 2010 to 2011, Xinyu Yi pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Apart from these educational qualifications, Xinyu Yi also holds a Certificate in SoC Design, although specific details about the institution and time of completion are not provided.
