Allison James

Allison James has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Allison is currently the Head of Professional Services at Black Swan Data, where they started in 2023. Prior to this role, they also served as the Insight Director at Black Swan Data starting in 2020.

Before joining Black Swan Data, Allison was the Director at Redblue from 2020 to 2020. Allison also held the position of Insight Director at Black Swan Data in 2019 and was responsible for proposal development and leading major segmentation studies at Kantar Consulting from 2015 to 2018.

Allison has also worked as the Marketing & Brand Insight Manager at Waitrose & Partners in 2016 and as the Associate Director at Clusters Limited from 2014 to 2015, where they played a key role in setting up and implementing processes.

Prior to these roles, Allison worked as a Freelancer from 2008 to 2014 and held the position of Associate Director (previously Project Director) at Added Value from 1998 to 2008. Allison started their career at BBDO Worldwide as a Media Planner / Account Manager from 1993 to 1997.

Allison James graduated from the University of Cape Town from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Science degree with a focus on Marketing and Marketing Research. Later, in 1998, they attended the Institute of Marketing Management in South Africa, where they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Market Research. Additionally, in March 2018, they obtained a certification in "Creating Your Personal Brand" from LinkedIn.
