Ajay Menendez

Ajay Menendez has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Their most recent position is as the Founder and CEO of Black Tower Security and Black Tower Academy. Prior to this, they worked at RapidAscent as the Vice President of Education and as a Lead Instructor. Menendez also served as the Associate Director of Cybersecurity Instruction at HackerU and as the Senior Security Architect at Centura Health. ajay was the Executive Director of the HUNT Analyst Program at SecureSet and held several other roles at the organization, including Campus Director and Cybersecurity Instructor. Menendez also worked as a Senior SIEM Engineer at Optiv Inc and as a Technical Trainer and Professional Services Consultant at LogRhythm. Their early career at IBM involved roles such as Enterprise Security Engineer and Enterprise Senior Storage Engineer. Menendez started their career at the University of Miami as a Senior Network Engineer/Architect.

Ajay Menendez has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University that they obtained between 1997 and 2001. ajay also has a Certificate SEC 555 in SIEM Advanced Tactical Analysis from SANS Technology Institute that they obtained in 2018. In 2015 and 2016, Ajay attended Black Hat to study Digital Forensics. Additionally, they obtained a LogRhythm Certified Professional certification in April 2014.
