Harsha Mallajosyula is an accomplished data professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Data at Black Wealth Data Center, Harsha focuses on advancing Black wealth data through advanced analytics and research while leading a team and contributing to organizational strategy. Previous roles include Chief Data Officer for the City of Paterson, where Harsha implemented an open data strategy and supported evidence-based policy making, and Deputy Chief Data Officer for the City of Los Angeles, providing insights on emerging trends using statistical analysis. Harsha has also held positions as Product Data Scientist at Edmodo, Lead Data Scientist at Good World Solutions, and has a strong foundation in data science from participation in various intensive workshops and research roles at UC Berkeley and the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment. Harsha holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and has completed the Bloomberg Harvard Executive Leadership Fellowship in Public Policy.
