Obiora C. Okoye

Obiora C. Okoye serves as the Managing Partner at Blackaion Capital since January 2020, focusing on infrastructure investment and asset management aimed at enhancing trade and connectivity through green technology. As a Board Trustee of The Visiola Foundation since January 2014, Obiora promotes education and mentorship for African girls in STEM fields. Previous experience includes roles as Project Director at GE, where Obiora led numerous energy and clean technology projects across sub-Saharan Africa, and as Senior Investment Officer at the African Development Bank Group, specializing in financing renewable and thermal energy projects. Early career positions included Commercial Manager at Mart Resources and Senior Associate in Asset Management at GTBank. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MSc in Energy Studies from the University of Dundee, and a BA (Hons) in Economics with Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University.
