David Owens

David Owens is an experienced Director of Strategic Content Development at Blackbaud, overseeing a high-performing team of Technical Writers, UX Writers, Information Architects, Software Engineers, and Managers to create engaging content for a diverse range of software products since 2001. Prior roles at Blackbaud included User Education Group Manager, User Education Manager, Documentation Manager, and Senior Technical Writer, where responsibilities encompassed writing user manuals and technical documentation, developing API documentation, and mentoring writing teams. Prior to Blackbaud, Owens worked as a freelance Technical Writer and Editor, producing manuals and help files for various software applications, editing publications, and crafting a keynote speech for a significant awards banquet. Owens holds a B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina.
