Marian Matthis

Marian Matthis, MBA, has extensive experience in marketing and digital media. Marian is currently serving as the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Director at Blackbird Studio and The Blackbird Academy respectively. Prior to these roles, Marian worked as a Freelance Graphic and Web Designer, Marketing Consultant at Big Moon Marketing, where they developed marketing strategies and managed social media channels for various clients. Marian also served as the PR/Social Media Director at The Blackbird Academy, planning and executing successful social media campaigns. Marian's earlier experience includes working as an Online Marketing/Special Projects Manager at The Tennessean, where they were responsible for marketing materials production and training, and as the Principal and Owner of Meridian Marketing Communications, producing a monthly magazine and national advertising for record labels. Marian's career started as the Director of Market Development at The Tennessean and Nashville Banner, where they planned and executed marketing strategies for the newspapers.

Marian Matthis, MBA, obtained their Executive MBA from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management from 1990 to 1992. Prior to earning their MBA, they completed their undergraduate studies at Murray State University, where they pursued a degree in Marketing.
