Robert Winspear has a long and varied work experience. Robert began their career in 1993 as the Chief Financial Officer of Associated Materials, a national residential building products manufacturer and distributor. During their nine-year tenure, they doubled sales to $650 million and led a successful 1998 $38 million IPO with $75 million debt refinancing. In 2002, they founded Winspear Investments LLC, an independent sponsor with a portfolio of investments in supply chain management, distribution, banking, marinas, real estate investment firm, and alternative investments. Robert was a member of multiple boards, offering investment and corporate governance guidance. In 2007, they became the Chief Executive Officer of La Familia Distributing, LLC, a $30 million food and beverage distributor. Robert restructured the client base from small Texas accounts to the national corporate market and reorganized the product offering. Robert increased sales by 40% in three years, expanding the company from a regional to a national presence. In 2008, they became a director and organizer for de-novo bank, Texas Security Bank~Champions of Free Enterprise. Robert acquired on-the-job expertise in banking compliance law and regulation, including Anti-money Laundering, Know Your Customer, and Bank Secrecy Act. In 2012, they became a director and audit committee chair for VII Peaks Co-Optivist Income Opportunity Fund, a business development company with ~$35 million AUM. Robert managed independent auditors, reviewed compliance reports, and collaborated with legal counsel on governance and SEC issues. In 2014, they became the Chief Financial Officer of Excel Corporation, a $30 million credit card processing company. Robert implemented executive-level leadership and operational maturity, managed the integration of earlier acquisitions, transformed profitability, and delivered aggressive growth targets. In 2005, they became an independent director for Alpha Financial Technologies and EAM Corporation, sister companies offering futures-based financial indexes for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and other financial vehicles. In 2021, they became the Chief Financial Officer and Director of BlackBoxStocks, Inc.
Robert Winspear holds a Master of Professional Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the same institution.
