Bill Isberg is the current General Manager of Chicago and Rockford at BlackHawk Industrial. Prior to this, they were with True Value Company from January 2015 to December 2017 as the Senior Director of Growth for the Center of Excellence (sales & store operations). In this role, they recruited, trained, and led a team of corporate and field-based consultative SME’s to accelerate and enhance retail and wholesale performance and sales growth.

During their time at True Value Company, Bill guided the team in pursuit of strengtening field sales and consulting, developing cross functional process improvements, and building retail best practices in the areas of merchandising, store operations, HR, P.O.S., financial and marketing management. Some notable accomplishments during their time there include:

• Guiding the development of an alternative pricing strategy, leading to gross-margin increases of 2% to 3% for participating stores.

• Oversawing the crafting of a sales targeting tool, helping the company realize 157% of goal for merchandise assortment sales.

• Directing customer-retention efforts which helped unit owners, franchisees, solve financial performance issues, address succession challenges, and fully realize and understand the benefits of remaining a part of True Value Company. This allowed the company to retain over $40,000,000 in annual wholesale sales and over $100,000,000 in related retail sales.
