Zachary Purdy

Zachary Purdy, P.E. is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the mining sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Engineering at Blackhawk Mining since October 2020, Zachary has been with Blackhawk Mining, LLC since October 2015 in various roles including Mine Engineer and Section Foreman. Prior to this, Zachary worked at Patriot Coal Corporation from May 2013 to October 2015, also holding positions as Section Foreman and Engineer III. Zachary Purdy holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mining Engineering and Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, earned between 2008 and 2013.
