Mike Thiessen

Mike Thiessen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in consulting, entrepreneurship, and education. As the Principal Owner of The Madison Group, Ltd. since June 1998, Mike has specialized in public-private partnerships and economic development projects. Mike is also a Partner/Owner at Blackhawk Restaurant Group, which focuses on cafes that offer video gaming, small plates, coffee, and beer/wine. Additionally, Mike has been an Adjunct Instructor at Northwestern University School of Professional Studies since January 2010, teaching courses on the business aspects of sports, including the development and financing of sports facilities. From September 2020 to April 2022, Mike served as President of The Flying Lark. Mike holds a Master of Management degree from Willamette University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the same institution.
