Amanda Rohrer joined Blackhorn Ventures part-time in October 2021 and will join as a Senior Associate in the summer of 2022 after completing her MBA at MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to MIT Sloan, Amanda was a Summer Associate at Spring Lane Capital, a venture and growth equity firm investing in early-stage companies across the energy, transportation, food, and waste sectors. Previously, Amanda spent six years at Cambridge Associates, where she led investment due diligence that guided over $2 billion of capital commitments across the energy, real estate, infrastructure, and agriculture sectors. While there, she co-created the firm’s first sustainable real assets benchmark, the first private gender lens investment landscape, and was a founding member of the company’s LGBTQ+ affinity group.
Amanda received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Virginia. During her MBA at MIT Sloan, Amanda held internships or conducted research projects at Social Finance, Closed Loop Partners, and Patagonia.
