William Horn, CISSP, PMP

William Horn is currently working as the Cybersecurity Practice Manager at BlackLake Security since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at HCL Technologies - Infrastructure & Cloud Security Consulting (ICSC) as a Program Manager from May 2020 to November 2021. At HCL Technologies, they provided leadership for the creation and execution of Security Services programs, including scoping and Statement of Work generation, Sales Engineering, and Security assessments.

Before HCL Technologies, William worked at Broadcom Inc. as an Engineering Program Manager from December 2019 to May 2020. William was responsible for the execution of program plans, Statement of Work generation, Sales Engineering, and Security assessments. William also directed Program/Project governance for the consulting practice and security services and maintained trusted relationships with key stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, and Product Teams.

Prior to that, they worked at Bay Dynamics as a Senior Engagement Manager from June 2015 to December 2019. William led a cross-functional engineering and leadership team in developing practice content and was responsible for project governance and ensuring key metrics and quantifiable results for Enterprise clients. William also briefly worked as a Senior Technical Project Manager at Bay Dynamics in May 2015.

Before Bay Dynamics, they worked at Softcard as a Security Program Manager from November 2012 to May 2015. William provided leadership and technical oversight of security operations, governance, and risk policies. William supervised staff, Security Operations Center (SOC), Third Party Audits, and Contract Review/Monitoring.

From August 2007 to November 2012, William worked at Sungard Availability Services as an Enterprise Project Manager. William managed large-scale IT operations programs and led teams in designing and optimizing Enterprise-level environments.

Prior to Sungard Availability Services, they worked at VeriCenter as a Senior Manager of Enterprise Projects from August 2004 to August 2007. William completed project planning, execution, monitoring, and resource balancing for multiple simultaneous projects.

William's work experience also includes working at Navisite as a Senior Project Manager from August 2000 to August 2004. William was involved in multi-team/client planning, development, and delivery of IT messaging related environments, networking, architecture, and engineering services.

Throughout their career, William has demonstrated leadership in cybersecurity and project management, establishing trusted relationships with key stakeholders and delivering quantifiable results for Enterprise clients.

William Horn, CISSP, PMP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from Hendrix College. William also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2009. Additionally, they have certifications in ITIL Service Management Foundation and CISSP, obtained from AXELOS Global Best Practice and (ISC)² respectively.
