Kris Ellis has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Beginning in 1994 at Inchcape New Zealand as an Analyst, Kris then worked as a Senior Developer at Simpl from 1996 to 1999. Kris then joined Wheel (now LBi) as a Technical Architect from 1999 to 2003. From there, Kris worked at Infosys as a Senior Technical Architect from 2003 to 2007, later becoming the Head of Architecture from 2008 to 2009, and then Associate Partner, Systems Integration and Consulting from 2009 to 2011. Kris then joined AMP Capital as a Business Implementation Manager from 2011 to 2014 before moving to Infosys Consulting as a Senior Principal, Cloud Practice Lead from 2014 to 2016. Lastly, Kris is currently employed at Blackmores Group, where they have held several roles including Head of IT Strategy and Architecture from 2016 to 2018, Group Technology Director from 2018 to the present, and currently serving as the Chief Information Officer since March 2022.
Kris Ellis obtained a Bachelor's degree from The University of Auckland, where they studied from 1990 to 1993. In addition to their degree, Kris has obtained several certifications throughout their career. They obtained the CompTIA Cloud + certification from CompTIA in November 2014, as well as the CompTIA Cloud Essentials certification from the same institution in September 2014. Kris also earned the AWS Business Professional Accreditation and AWS Technical Professional Accreditation from Amazon Web Services in May 2014. Additionally, they obtained the TOGAF 8 certification from the Open Group in June 2006 and the PMP certification from PMI in October 2005.
