Jason Rathbun

Jason Rathbun has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and IT. Jason is currently employed at Blackpoint Cyber since 2020, where they hold the position of Technical Director of Threat Operations. Prior to this role, Jason worked as a Senior MDR Analyst and a Managed Detection and Response Analyst at the same company. In these positions, they were responsible for investigating and responding to active threats, developing rules to detect malware, and researching new exploits and malware. Before joining Blackpoint Cyber, Jason worked as a Security Operations Center Analyst at a different company. Additionally, they gained experience through internships at BDK, Inc. and Data Federal, where they worked on various IT projects and assisted with computer setup and troubleshooting.

Jason Rathbun earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Salisbury University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Sherwood High School from 2012 to 2016. Jason also holds additional certifications, including being a Certified Red Team Operator from Zero-Point Security Ltd in 2021 and a Mendix Rapid Developer from Mendix in 2020.
