Patrick Avoke Mbam

Patrick Avoke has over 19 years of professional experience in various roles related to business intelligence, data analytics, and project management. Patrick is currently serving as the Head of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Blackpoint Cyber since July 2023.

Prior to their current role, Patrick worked at Red Hat for over 10 years. Patrick held multiple positions including Director of Enterprise Data and Analytics from April 2021 to July 2023, Senior Manager of Business Intelligence from June 2018 to March 2021, Manager of Business Intelligence from December 2015 to June 2018, Associate Manager of Business Intelligence from May 2015 to December 2015, and Senior Business Systems Analyst/Scrum Master from February 2014 to May 2015.

Before joining Red Hat, Patrick worked at REI Systems as a Business Systems Analyst/Test Lead from September 2008 to January 2014. Patrick was involved in projects such as BusinessUSA and NYC Checkbook.

Patrick also gained experience at Prudential Financial as a Systems Consultant for two years. During their time there from February 2006 to August 2008, they worked on projects including Minimum Required Distribution, Year-End Processing, Annuities Service Online, and others. Patrick was responsible for preparing business requirement documentation and conducting gap analysis.

Earlier in their career, Patrick worked as a Computer Engineer at Innotec. From May 2004 to April 2006, they contributed to the Hayworth Receptacle (Electrical) Line project, where they wrote test scripts, conducted data validation, and participated in team meetings and process modeling using UML.

Overall, Patrick Avoke has a strong background in business intelligence, data analytics, and project management, with experience in various industries such as cybersecurity, technology, and finance.

Patrick Avoke holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics, from Calvin University. Patrick furthered their education at North Carolina State University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Decision Analytics. Additionally, Patrick has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. Patrick has also achieved the certifications of Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
