Michael Colen

Michael Colen serves as the Global Private Debt Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at BlackRock, a position held since August 2001, with previous roles including Global Credit Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff to the President, and Americas Corporate Strategy Managing Director. In these capacities, Michael has been instrumental in developing strategic priorities and cross-functional initiatives aimed at sustainable growth, liaising with executives on business strategy, and managing special projects across various divisions. Michael's extensive experience includes leadership roles in fixed income business management, strategic growth initiatives post-merger with Barclays Global Investors, and international account management in regions such as Asia and EMEA. Michael's academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Haverford College.
