Yang Liu

Yang Liu is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director of Private Assets Market Risk at BlackRock since October 2025. In this role, Yang Liu leads private asset risk modeling, integrating research, product, and engineering to develop scalable analytics for private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real estate. Prior to BlackRock, Yang Liu held the position of Executive Director and Vice President of Research at MSCI Inc. Yang Liu earned a Ph.D. in Finance and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Washington, along with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Tsinghua University.
