Derek Daczewitz

Derek Daczewitz is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in product and platform engineering. Currently serving as Vice President of Product Engineering at BlackSky since July 2016, Derek previously held the role of Sr Director of Platform Engineering. Prior experience includes positions at OpenWhere as a Technologist and at DigitalGlobe as an Agile Manager and Manager of EyeQ Operations, where responsibilities included overseeing GeoEye's EyeQ online web hosting systems for various customers. Earlier career highlights include roles as Senior Software Developer at GeoEye, Software Engineer at Overwatch Systems, and Lead Software Developer at TowerStreet. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Virginia Tech, graduated in 1999.
