Akili Z. Davis

Akili Davis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program coordination and curatorial roles, currently serving as a Senior Program Associate at BlackStar since October 2021. In addition to previous positions at BlackStar, Akili has engaged with CINEMA EYE HONORS, LLC as a Short Film Nominations Committee Member and held roles at the Souls Grown Deep Foundation and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. Akili's background also includes contributions to various cultural and educational organizations, such as ArtBlog Philadelphia and the QT Noir Arts Festival, and a solid academic foundation with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College.
