Cathy Zheng, MBA, P.Eng., CEM has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy management field. Cathy is currently working as a Program Manager at Blackstone Energy Services Inc., where they oversee and coordinates programs, strives for continuous improvement, and identifies value-add initiatives.

Prior to this, Cathy operated their independent consulting company called CZ Consulting, specializing in energy management solutions. Cathy provided turn-key energy management solutions to clients and collaborated with specialists in power, gas, and water to deliver efficient and budget-friendly solutions.

Cathy also served as the Director of Outreach at StepUp, a company focused on promoting gender equity, inclusion, and diversity in Canadian energy management. Their mission was to assist organizations in attracting, retaining, and advancing women in leadership positions within this industry.

Cathy gained experience as a Sr. Energy Account Manager at VIP Energy Services Inc, where they managed accounts, implemented energy management measures, and generated new sales and revenue. During their time there, Cathy successfully secured two energy efficiency fundings from Natural Resources Canada.

Earlier in their career, Cathy worked at CLEAResult as a Conservation Account Manager, representing Hydro One in Northern Ontario. In the latter role, they developed hydrologic simulation models, conducted laboratory tests for water treatment, and analyzed operation and construction costs of water reclaim systems.
