Josh Gibbins

Josh Gibbins, P.Eng. is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Building Performance Engineering at Blackstone Energy Services Inc. since November 2024. Previously, Gibbins held the role of Building Systems Engineer, Team Lead at RYCOM from August 2021 to November 2024, and served as Practice Lead, Energy Engineer at WalterFedy from June 2015 to August 2021. Gibbins has extensive expertise in energy and carbon solutions, mechanical system evaluations, and feasibility studies, having also contributed as a Mechanical Engineer at AECOM and in various roles at WalterFedy. Notably, Gibbins was the primary mechanical designer for Environment 3 at the University of Waterloo, the first LEED Platinum certified building on an Ontario campus. Educational qualifications include a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained from the University of Waterloo.
