Elyssa Hurley is an experienced music educator currently serving as the Choral Director for both Foster Glocester Regional Schools and the Foster-Glocester School District since August 2017. Previously, Elyssa was a Music Teacher at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy. Elyssa holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Muskingum University, where studies occurred from August 2011 to December 2015. Elyssa completed secondary education at Rutherford B. Hayes High School, graduating in 2011.

Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) is an intentionally diverse network of tuition-free public schools chartered by the Rhode Island Department of Education. BVP offers a high-quality public school choice to the families of Central Falls, Cumberland, Lincoln, and Pawtucket, and currently serves 2,300 scholars, ages 5-22, across six schools.
