Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy
Kenzie McCormick currently serves as the Lead Teacher at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy since August 2019, while also pursuing a Master of Education with a focus on Leadership in Education at Southern New Hampshire University from March 2022 to March 2024. Previous educational experiences include attending Fairfield University from 2014 to 2018 and completing high school at Cumberland High School from 2010 to 2014. Prior to the teaching role, Kenzie gained practical experience as an intern at Metro West OBGYN in the summer of 2015, shadowing midwife Lorna McCarthy and actively participating in prenatal assessments.

Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) is an intentionally diverse network of tuition-free public schools chartered by the Rhode Island Department of Education. BVP offers a high-quality public school choice to the families of Central Falls, Cumberland, Lincoln, and Pawtucket, and currently serves 2,300 scholars, ages 5-22, across six schools. A member of the Rhode Island Mayoral Academies network, BVP’s mission is to prepare every scholar to achieve their goals for college and the world beyond.
