Keith Trepanier

Chief of Safety at BLADE

Keith Trepanier has extensive work experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on safety management. Keith currently holds the position of Chief of Safety at BLADE, a role they started in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mayo Clinic from July 2013 to February 2022 as the Aviation Safety Manager. In this role, Keith managed the safety management system for part 135 helicopter operations and conducted operational audits of air operators.

Keith oversaw all safety operations for infrastructure and outlying facilities and managed safety programs for flight, maintenance, industrial, medical, and retail facilities. Keith also held the role of Rotary Wing Flight Examiner from July 2002 to August 2006, where they developed national instrument flight training programs for Coast Guard aviators.

Keith's work experience also includes a role as Sales Manager at McGill Airflow from December 1997 to August 1999. Keith began their career in the US Army, where they served in various roles, including Safety Officer/Pilot in Command, Armament Maintenance Officer/Pilot, Flight Student, and Avionics Technician.

Overall, Keith Trepanier has a diverse background in aviation safety management and leadership, with experience in both military and civilian settings.

Keith Trepanier attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1990 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics. Additionally, from 1995 to 1997, they pursued a Master of Aeronautical Science with a focus on Aeronautical Safety & Operations at the same institution.
