Vice President - IT Risk And Information-cyber-digital Security at Bladex

Juan Jose Chang Salazar has extensive work experience in the field of IT Risk and Information Security. Juan Jose started their career at Banco General as a Programmer Engineer in July 2010 and worked there until September 2012. Juan Jose then joined Caja de Ahorros as a Technology Control Officer in September 2012 and later became an IT Risk Manager from November 2013 to March 2014. Juan Jose Chang Salazar then moved on to MetroBank where they served as a Sub-Gerente de Riesgo Tecnológico from March 2014 to March 2017. Currently, they are working at Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior S.A. (Bladex) in various roles including Manager III - Operational, IT Risk & Information Security from March 2017 to November 2018, Senior Manager - IT Risk and Information Security from December 2018 to August 2019, AVP - IT Risk and Information Security from August 2019 to January 2022, and currently as Vice President - IT Risk and Information-Cyber-Digital Security since January 2022.

Juan Jose Chang Salazar completed a Micromaster in Cybersecurity from Rochester Institute of Technology, specializing in Computer Science - Cybersecurity, from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Maestria en Gerencia Informatica con Enfasis en Seguridad Computacional and a Postgrado en Informatica Administrativa from Universidad Latina de Panamá. Juan Jose also obtained a Licenciatura en Ingenieria Electronica y Telecomunicaciones from Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá. In terms of certifications, Juan Jose obtained several, including a Cybersecurity Micromaster from Rochester Institute of Technology in February 2023, a DevSecOps: Workshop from Fluid Attacks in April 2022, a CyberArk Certified Trustee from CyberArk in December 2021, a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge v.4 from Cloud Security Alliance in November 2021, an edX Verified Certificate for Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity Risk Management, and Network Security from Rochester Institute of Technology in February 2021, and a CYBER501x: Cybersecurity Fundamentals from Rochester Institute of Technology in October 2020. Additionally, they hold a COBIT 5 Foundation certification from APMG-International in September 2014 and an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification from PECB.
