Phillip Uribe

Associate Director, Translational Sciences at BlazeBioscience

Phillip Uribe has worked for four different companies since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a Research Technician at Pomona College, where their research focused on aminoglycoside induced hair cell death in the zebrafish lateral line. In 2012, they began working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington State University, where they earned their Ph.D. in the department of Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience. In 2017, they joined Otonomy, Inc. as an Associate Director, where they managed and mentored a team of 10+ indirect and direct reports. During this time, they also collaborated with senior leadership to identify a neurodegenerative disease most amenable to a gene therapy product. In 2022, they joined Blaze Bioscience as the Associate Director of Translational Sciences.

Phillip Uribe received their B.S. in Biology from UC Irvine in 2011, and their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from Washington State University in 2017.
