Emma Scarpa

Emma Scarpa has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Emma is currently employed as a Strategic Communications Specialist at BLH Technologies, Inc. since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at CommunicateHealth, Inc. from 2018 to 2021, first as a Communication Associate from July 2018 to July 2019, and then as a Content Manager from August 2019 to November 2021.

In 2017, Emma worked as a Public Health Scholar - Physical Activity and Nutrition at the Rhode Island Department of Health. Earlier, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Brown University from September 2016 to May 2018. Additionally, Emma has experience as a Research Assistant in the Department of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at Brown University School of Public Health, where they collected, coded, and analyzed qualitative data on patient-provider communication and shared decision making.

Emma began their career at Berkshire Organics, where they worked as a Store Coordinator/Delivery Service Manager from August 2009 to December 2015. Emma also had an internship experience at CommunicateHealth, Inc. as a Summer Associate/Intern in 2012.

Prior to their work experience, Emma was a Teaching Assistant and Grader at Smith College from January 2013 to May 2017. Overall, Emma Scarpa brings a wealth of experience and expertise in strategic communications, content management, public health, research, and teaching to their current role as a Strategic Communications Specialist.

Emma Scarpa has a diverse education history. Emma began their academic journey in 2006 at Berkshire Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Liberal Arts degree in Psychology. After completing their studies in 2009, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at Smith College from 2011 to 2013. Their major during this period was Psychology, with a focus on Culture Health and Science. Emma further expanded their knowledge by completing a Master's Degree in Public Health at Brown University from 2016 to 2018.
