James Garcia

Studio Art Director at Blind Squirrel Games

James Garcia has a strong background in the gaming industry, with a focus on environment art. James started their career in 2004 as a contract 3D artist at Zeek Interactive, where they worked until 2011. James then moved on to roles as a lead environment artist at Obsidian Entertainment, Spark Unlimited, and The Workshop. In 2015, James joined Sony Computer Entertainment America as a lead environment artist until 2016. James then worked as a lead 3D artist at Extrokold Games from 2016 to 2018. In 2017, they briefly worked as the lead environment artist at Nightdive Studios. James also has experience teaching as an adjunct instructor at The Art Institute of California-San Diego. Currently, James is working as the studio art director at Blind Squirrel Games.

James Garcia attended Escondido Charter from 1996 to 2000, where they received a diploma in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. James then pursued a BS in Media Arts/Animation at the Art Institute of CA/OC from 2001 to 2004.
