Alfredo Alonso

Alfredo Alonso has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alfredo is currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at BLING, where they support various teams and aims to build a product to alleviate financial stress. Prior to this, Alfredo worked as an Angel Investor in 2021.

Before their current role, Alfredo held the position of Chief Product Officer at 21 Buttons, a fashion destination with millions of users. Alfredo was responsible for the overall product strategy and execution, overseeing various disciplines and managing a team of 20 individuals.

Earlier in their career, Alfredo worked at Skyscanner, where they held multiple roles. Alfredo served as the Director of Product Management and Head of Hotels, achieving significant growth and overseeing a large team across different regions. Alfredo also led the Skyscanner Hotels product globally and played a crucial role in its development from the ground up.

Prior to their time at Skyscanner, Alfredo worked at ExperienceOn Ventures, where they served as the Director of Operations and later as a Product Manager. Alfredo managed various products, users, and partner relationships, contributing to the growth and success of the start-up.

Alfredo's earlier experience includes working at Transcom, where they held leadership positions in international business management and regional IT. Alfredo led teams, ensuring business execution and delivering IT services efficiently.

Throughout their career, Alfredo has demonstrated expertise in product management, strategy execution, team management, and business development.

Alfredo Alonso completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Systems from Central Connecticut State University in 2001. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad de León, which they completed in 2002. Alfredo then continued their education at the same university and obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2003.
