Jeff Johnson attended Fergus Falls Community College from 1993 to 1995, where they studied Law Enforcement. Afterward, they enrolled at Alexandria Technical and Community College from 1995 to 1996, specializing in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, and Related Protective Services, earning a degree in Minnesota State Skills Training.
