Madison Savedra

Madison covers Pilsen, Little Village and Back of the Yards for Block Club Chicago.

Before joining the team, she was a freelancer while working as a fact-checker for Chicago Magazine and a breaking news reporter for The Daily Herald. She also wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times’ ongoing Murals and Mosaics series.

Originally from Missouri, Madison is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago. She studied political science and Spanish, and served as news editor of the student-run Loyola Phoenix. When she’s not working, Madison can be found reading, cooking or taking pictures of her cat.
