Allen Qin

Allen Qin is a seasoned professional in the field of Machine Learning and Data Science, currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Block since October 2022, where responsibilities include leading machine learning initiatives to mitigate risks in cryptocurrency transactions. Prior to this, Allen was a Senior Applied Data Scientist at Xero, contributing to the development of machine learning products to solve business challenges and enhance user experiences. Previous experience includes serving as Lead Data Scientist at National Australia Bank, where Allen delivered various machine learning products and promoted best practices. Allen's career also features roles at Sportsbet, where models were built for pricing and marketing, as well as earlier positions in testing at Object Consulting and HP. Allen holds a Master’s degree in Computing from RMIT University.
