Carole Clausen

Carole Clausen, CPP, currently serves as the Global Payroll Director at Block since May 2018, where responsibilities include directing a 22-member global remote payroll team and managing over 500 monthly payroll runs for nearly 20,000 employees across various countries. Key achievements at Block encompass building a global payroll department from scratch, implementing the UKG payroll system, and automating stock processing, which significantly reduced processing time. Prior to Block, Carole held the position of Global Payroll Director at Tesla, overseeing North American payroll operations for 40,000 associates, and led the payroll implementation project across 30+ countries. Carole's career also includes roles as Director of Payroll & HRIS at SEPHORA, Payroll Manager at DFS Group Limited, and Payroll Benefits Manager at Gale Group Inc. Carole holds a Baccalauréat G3 in Marketing from Lycee Aubanel.
