Matjaz Kotnik has a diverse work experience, starting in 2002 as CEO of Pretok Ideje until 2007. matjaz then became CEO of Konica nove tehnologije from 2007 to 2013, where they developed software for access control and successfully marketed and deployed it to various ventures in Slovenia. From 2013 to 2020, they served as CEO of moonwalker7. In 2017, they co-founded GeoMercury.com, a subsidiary of BVB Marketing. In 2018, they co-founded Wellbeing and Legacy Solutions Ltd and held the position of Co-Founder and CTO until 2020. More recently, in 2021, they co-founded Coin Clash Games, and in 2022, they co-founded Blocksee.

Matjaz Kotnik attended II. Gimnazija Maribor from 1988 to 1992. matjaz then enrolled at the University of Ljubljana, where they studied Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from 1992 to 1994. After that, they continued their education at the University of Ljubljana, focusing on Law from 1994 to 1998.
