Melissa Tisoncik has a strong background in the field of research and development (R&D). Melissa began their career in 2006 as a Chemical Technician at USDA-ARS. After a year in this role, they transitioned to the Blommer Chocolate Company in 2010, where they held various positions in R&D. Melissa started as an R&D Manager Product Development and was later promoted to R&D Corporate Manager-Product Development. In 2019, Melissa became the Director of R&D before being promoted to Vice President of R&D in February 2022.
Melissa Tisoncik completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Illinois Wesleyan University from 2003 to 2007. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Food Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing it from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Melissa obtained certifications in various areas. In 2015, they completed the Situational Leadership II course at Ken Blanchard. Later, in 2016, they attended the PMP® Certification Training Course offered by the Project Management Academy. Furthermore, in 2017, Melissa obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Course at Dale Carnegie.
