VP, Donor & Patient Services at Blood Center

Pete Lux, RN is Vice President, Donor and Patient Services with ImpactLife. Pete began his career in 1991 as a blood collection tech with Indiana Blood Center where he rose through the ranks as a supervisor, manager, and director of donor services. He came to ImpactLife in 2015 and now leads a team of more than 300 Donor and Patient Services associates working across the blood center’s four-state service region.

He has applied his extensive knowledge of industry to numerous project teams, including implementation of SafeTrace/DonorDoc, BioKey, mobile plateletphereis, Diapsect, DoVac Elite, and Macomix blood mixers with interface to DoVac Elite. Pete has helped train blood collection staff on the use of platelet apheresis equipment during a two-week volunteer trip in the Republic of Georgia. His industry service also includes membership on the Donor History Task Force for the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB) and on the conference planning committee for the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP).

A dedicated ambassador for donor recruitment efforts, Pete has even participated in a job swap with a TV meteorologist to help raise awareness of blood donation. He was recognized for professional excellence and support of donor recruitment with the ADRP Collections Leader of the Year Award in 2021.
