Eric Mitchell has extensive experience in equine journalism, notably serving as Bloodstock Editor at Blood-Horse LLC since October 1999, focusing on stallion and farm coverage for various publications including BloodHorse Daily and BloodHorse.com. Mitchell progressed through several roles at Blood-Horse, including Executive Vice President and Editorial Director, after initially joining as a business writer. Prior to Blood-Horse, Mitchell worked as a Staff Writer and Columnist for Street and Smith's SportsBusiness Journal and covered government and politics at the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. Mitchell began writing about the Central Florida horse industry at the Ocala Star-Banner, a part of the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group.
