Candace Judson, MSN, RN, PHN has a diverse work experience in healthcare and nursing. Candace began their career in 1995 as a Health Education Specialist II at Butte County Public Health Department, where they were responsible for planning and executing county-wide outreach programs. Candace then moved on to BloodSource in 1998, where they served as an RN Supervisor, ensuring compliance and supervising a team of nursing and allied health staff. At the same organization, they later became the Director of Learning, overseeing the training and competency needs of over 500 employees. In 2009, they took on the role of Director of Operations at BloodSource, responsible for blood collection and therapeutic operations. Eventually, they were promoted to Vice President of Operations, providing leadership support to an operations management team. In 2016, Candace joined Vitalant as the Senior Director of Donor Care, where they provide strategic direction to a leadership team overseeing blood collection in Northern and Central California.
Candace Judson obtained a Master's degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in 1997-1998. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education from California State University, Chico in 1991-1995. In addition to their educational background, Candace has obtained various certifications including being a Registered Nurse through the Board of Registered Nursing, CA in 1998. Candace has also completed a poetry workshop called "Sharpened Visipns" through Coursera in December 2022. Moreover, Candace holds certifications in areas such as Collaborative Team Skills & I-Skills Zone, Leadership & Customer Service Training Programs, and Public Health Nursing, although specific information regarding the institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications is unavailable.
