Jim Gore

Chief Operating Officer at Bloodworks Northwest

Jim Gore has a strong background in executive leadership and research program management. Jim has served as the Chief Operating Officer for multiple research institutes, including the Puget Sound Blood Center Research Institute, Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute, and Seattle Biomedical Research Institute. In these roles, they were responsible for refining scientific strategy, expanding research programs, and coordinating with development and communication teams. Jim also has experience as the Chief Administrative Officer for Pacific Medical Centers, where they oversaw finance, patient accounts, human resources, facilities, and information technology programs. Prior to that, they held the position of Administrator, Dept Pediatrics OB/GYN at UCLA Medical Center and Martin Luther King, Jr. General Hospital, where they focused on improving maternal and child health. Jim began their career as the Director of Children's Program at the United Cerebral Palsy Association/Spastic Children's Foundation, where they established behavioral prescriptions for disabled students and operated an infant stimulation program.

Jim Gore completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at Stanford University in 1971. Jim then pursued their Master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on Public Policy and Administration at California State University, which they completed in 1974.
