Verena Koehler

Verena Koehler, PhD, is the Head of Biotech at Bloom Diagnostics, with extensive experience in project management and communication across multiple teams and external partners, particularly in the development of the Bloom Kidney Test. Koehler's previous roles include PhD candidate at the Medizinische Universität Wien under Prof. Erika Jensen-Jarolim and research positions at the Interuniversity Messerli Research Institute and King's College London. Koehler has a robust background in immunology and virology from work at Marinomed Biotech AG, where responsibilities involved experimental planning and execution, as well as development of various diagnostic assays. Koehler holds a PhD in Molecular, Cellular, Clinical Allergology, an MSc in Biotechnology, and a BSc in Food Science and Biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.
