Mattijs Ghijsen

Mattijs Ghijsen is a seasoned tech leader currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Bloom Group since January 2024. Previously, Mattijs held the CTO position at NAVARA from January 2017 to December 2023, where responsibilities included building a robust software engineering culture and guiding customers in launching digital products. Mattijs has also contributed as a Lead Software Engineer at several organizations, including VluchtelingenWerk Nederland and Velroq, as well as an interim Product Manager for the Zigzag Puppy Training App. With a successful track record in DevOps coaching at ABN AMRO Bank and extensive consulting experience at Software Improvement Group, Mattijs has specialized in automated testing, CI/CD, and product development. Mattijs holds an MSc and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Twente and the University of Amsterdam, respectively.
