Oliver Purcell began their work experience in 2012 as an Event Staff member for At Your Service, where they worked until September 2013. From September 2013 to September 2014, they held a staff position at Foodies. In September 2017, they joined Ocado Group's Operational Management Graduate Scheme, which they completed in March 2019. During their time at Ocado Group, they also served as an Inventory & Operational Support Manager from March to August 2019, a Functional Test Analyst from September 2019 to September 2020, and a Stock Availability Area Manager from August 2019 to June 2021. In June 2021, Oliver joined Bloom & Wild as an Operations Support Manager and later transitioned to the role of Warehouse Improvement Manager in October 2022.

Oliver Purcell completed their A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Art at Magdalen College School Oxford from 2003 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Loughborough University from 2014 to 2017.
