Amanda Stent

Amanda Stent is an accomplished expert in natural language processing (NLP) with extensive experience across various prestigious organizations. Amanda held the position of NLP Architect at Bloomberg LP from August 2016 to August 2021, leading the People and Language AI team and managing technical products in the NLP domain. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Member Technical Staff at AT&T Labs, where Amanda conducted research on spoken dialog and natural language generation, and as a Principal Research Scientist and Director at Yahoo, overseeing multiple research groups in dialogue and multilingual NLP. Amanda's academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University and obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rochester. Currently, Amanda is the Head of AI Strategy and Research at Bloomberg, while also having served as Director of the Davis Institute for AI and a Professor of Computer Science at Colby College.
