Maxwell Sylvestre

Maxwell Sylvestre is an emerging professional with a strong background in computer science and mentorship. Currently participating in the Bloomberg - Basta mentorship program, Maxwell aims to enhance professional development through a one-on-one relationship with an industry mentor. As a Basta Fellow, Maxwell engages in a 10-week career preparation initiative for first-generation college students. Previous experience includes completion of the Google Software Engineering Program, where Maxwell developed technical problem-solving skills. As a Full Stack Engineer for the World Drag Racing Circuit, Maxwell created a comprehensive PostgreSQL database and designed dynamic user interfaces using React and JavaScript. Additionally, Maxwell served as a mentor in the Black & Latino Male Initiative, aiding freshmen in their academic transition, and interned at Open House New York, where web design skills were applied. Maxwell holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brooklyn College and has also studied at Kingsborough Community College.
