Shikhar Srivastava

Shikhar Srivastava is a Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg, having joined in August 2018. Responsibilities include managing a large-scale distributed search engine for Bloomberg news and developing analytics systems for historical news data, utilizing technologies such as C++, Python, Java, and Apache Solr. Previously, Shikhar led the design of a low-latency distributed application for real-time market data, servicing multiple stock exchanges and producing over a billion data points daily. Prior experience includes a Machine Learning internship at Intugine Technologies, focused on predicting freight truck ETA using real-time GPS data, and a Software Engineering internship at Bloomberg LP, where Shikhar developed a plugin library for real-time exchange parsers. Shikhar holds an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur and completed senior school at The Avadh School.
