Alan Jaros is an experienced educational leader with a focus on outdoor, experiential learning and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Bowers School Farm and Johnson Nature Center at Bloomfield Hills Schools since October 2018, Alan emphasizes sustainability and conservation in K-12 educational programming. Prior to this role, Alan contributed to Michigan State University Extension in various capacities, including Educational Leadership Consultant and Education Director, where responsibilities included developing community outreach at an urban farm-site and overseeing educational initiatives. Alan's extensive background also includes positions as a Career Exploration & Entrepreneurship Coordinator and Outdoor Educational Guide, as well as internships that provided insights into organizational management. Alan holds a Master's Degree in Management from Walsh College and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University.
