Songfeng Wu

Songfeng Wu has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. In 2016, they worked as a Data Analyst Intern at Great Wall Xinsheng Trust CO., LTD. In 2017, they served as a Summer Research Intern at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they implemented core functions for a text analysis software and created a user interface. Songfeng also worked as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor at the University of Victoria, teaching Calculus II and providing math coaching. During their time at the university, they also conducted independent research and received an award for their work. In 2020, they were a Data Analyst Intern at State Farm® and a Data Engineer Intern at Alibaba Cloud. At State Farm, they detected high-risk customers and automated wire transfer processes, saving time and improving efficiency. At Alibaba Cloud, they designed and implemented an algorithm deployment platform and completed data ETL tasks. Currently, in 2021, they are working as a Software Engineer at Bloomreach.

Songfeng Wu completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours degree) in Mathematics from the University of Victoria from 2015 to 2018. Following this, Songfeng Wu pursued a Master's degree in Applied Math at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2019 to 2020.
