Aaris Sherin is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of design education, currently serving as Series Editor for Design Teaching at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since February 2023. With extensive experience at St. John's University since September 2005, Aaris holds the titles of Professor and Assistant Chairperson of the Department of Art and Design, overseeing curriculum development and departmental operations. Additionally, Aaris has served as an Associate Professor of Graphic Design with Routledge Taylor & Francis Group and held the position of Reviews Editor for Design and Culture: The Journal of the Design Studies Forum. Formerly, Aaris directed the Design Incubation fellowships and contributed to AIGA New York's Board of Directors. Aaris Sherin's educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
