Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas has a diverse work experience in the field of fashion and education. Professor Natascha is currently working as a Professor of Marketing and Sustainable Business at the British School of Fashion, where they conduct cross-disciplinary research on sustainability and delivers global values-based teaching. Professor Natascha also serves as the Editor In Chief of Bloomsbury Fashion Business Cases at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. Moreover, they have held leadership roles as Vice Chair at PRME UK & Ireland Chapter and The Costume Society.
Prior to their current positions, Professor Radclyffe-Thomas worked at the London College of Fashion as a Course Leader for BA Fashion Marketing and as a Course Leader for Access to HE Fashion Business. During their time at Villa Maria College in Buffalo, NY, they served as a Fashion Faculty member, expanding internship opportunities for students.
Furthermore, Professor Radclyffe-Thomas has international experience in education, including their role as a UAL In-country Student Advisor in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Professor Natascha has also worked as a lecturer at the Hong Kong Design Institute and as an Art Faculty member at the German Swiss International School - Business College in Hong Kong.
Their extensive career in education began at the London College of Fashion, where they worked as a Senior Lecturer and was involved in course development and management for Fashion Portfolio.
Throughout their roles, Professor Radclyffe-Thomas has demonstrated a commitment to sustainability, ethical business practices, and the promotion of innovative policies in the fashion industry. Professor Natascha has also been actively involved in research, collaboration, and curriculum development.
Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas completed their education at several institutions. Professor Natascha received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics from the University of Leicester in the years 1985 to 1988. Following that, in the year 1993 to 1994, they pursued Post Graduate Teacher Training at the University of Greenwich and obtained a PGCE (FE) degree. Later on, from 2005 to 2011, Professor Radclyffe-Thomas attended Durham University and obtained a Doctor of Education degree with a specialization in Intercultural Creativity in Education in art and design, with reference to CHC cultures.
Additionally, Professor Radclyffe-Thomas has obtained various certifications. As of 2020, they completed the "Take your teaching online" certification from The Open University. In 2019, they earned the "Certified Management & Business Educator" certification from the Chartered Association of Business Schools and the "Accredited Lecturer in Intercultural Management" certification from Hofstede Insights. Furthermore, they became a Fellow of the RSA (The royal society for arts, manufactures and commerce) in 2017 and a National Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the same year. In 2015, they completed the "Supervising Research Degrees for Professionals in Art, Design & Communication" course provided by the Staff and Educational Development Association. Professor Radclyffe-Thomas also became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2014.
